The BIR conference series originates from an initiative of the late professor Bengt G. Lundberg of Växjö and Stockholm universities and colleagues at the universities of Rostock and Berlin. They wanted to create a forum where researchers in business informatics, senior as well as junior, could meet and discuss with each other.
